St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers has selected Dr. Paul Antonecchia to serve as the hospital’s new vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer.
Antonecchia holds a medical degree from New York Medical College and an master’s in business administration from the University of Hartford. He is an adjunct professor of medicine at New York Medical College and has most recently served as Associate Chief Medical Officer at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Conn.
Born and raised in Yonkers, Antonecchia graduated from Roosevelt High School and Manhattan College. He completed his medical residency at the Westchester Medical Center, where he also served an additional year as chief medical resident.
St. John’s Riverside Hospital, part of the Riverside Health network, is a 400-bed facility on the west side of the city. Community Hospital at Dobbs Ferry will merge with St. John’s over the next few months. The Dobbs Ferry hospital will serve as a pilot program for a “hybrid hospital,” consisting of an emergency room, 12 observation beds and the Ashikari breast center.
